Episode 3: Gibraltar and the Falklands Conflict (part 2 of 3)

Gibraltar Heritage Trust Season 2 Episode 3

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War and three of our podcasts look at the 65 hour conversion of the SS Uganda into a hospital ship and the work carried out at HM Dockyard. The Dockyard workers, some 400 of them, would be directly involved in the conversion working  tirelessly around the clock to complete the task. In this second podcast dedicated to the Falklands War Alice Mascarenhas talks to Inspector of Shipwrights Sydney Cunningham and Michael Rodriguez, Technical Supervisor Alfred Sacramento, and Liner Surveyor/Draughtsman Adrian Lugnani.
